About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our casual relief team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational programs to children in our kindergartens.

Responsibilities
  • Relieve Teachers on leave or absent due to illness;
  • Provide locum support for long-term leave or other absences;
  • Contribute to project and SRF work as required;
  • Leverage opportunities to learn from different teachers and groups;
  • No work during term and summer breaks – VECTEA conditions apply.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A VIT registration as a Teacher;
  • At least one year of experience as a Teacher in sessional kindergarten or long day care settings;
  • Excellent references;
  • Availability to work two to five days per week;
  • Ability to travel to at least three kindergartens - choose your preferred locations;
  • A child-centred approach with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Competence in working with children with additional needs;
  • Philosophy and practice aligned with child-led learning and inside/outside activities;
  • Eagerness to work with diverse groups, educators, and teachers.
