About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Centre Supervisor to join our team at Harris Farm Markets. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the receiving, picking, and dispatch teams within our distribution centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the receiving, picking, and dispatch teams to ensure efficient and accurate processing of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory levels, stock movements, and employee performance.
  • Collaborate with the inventory manager to maintain accurate inventory levels and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Provide training and support to employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and service levels.
  • Monitor and control costs, including labour, inventory, and transportation costs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Distribution Centre Supervisor or equivalent role in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
