Job Role: Policy and Support ProfessionalAre you looking for a role where you can utilize your analytical skills to drive policy decisions? As a Policy and Support Professional, you will be an integral part of the Allied Health Strategy and Policy team.This position involves coordinating the timely preparation and provision of high-quality briefings and reports for senior officials regarding allied health professional policy, workforce, legislative, regulatory, and clinical governance issues.You will provide project support through the administration and coordination of several concurrent project activities associated with planning, monitoring, research, collation of information and preparation of reports.In addition, you will provide executive support to the Chief Allied Health Officer and Deputy Chief Allied Health Advisor, as well as general administrative support to the Allied Health Strategy and Policy team including secretariat support for committees.Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Coordination: Coordinate the timely preparation and provision of high-quality briefings and reports for senior officials.
  • Project Support: Provide project support through the administration and coordination of several concurrent project activities.
  • Executive Support: Provide executive support to the Chief Allied Health Officer and Deputy Chief Allied Health Advisor.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Allied Health Strategy and Policy team.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience providing policy and executive support in a demanding environment.
  • Skills: Effective output management and coordination skills, knowledge and understanding of project management principles, sound written and oral communication skills, capacity to provide secretarial and administrative support, critical thinking, research and analytical skills, experience using various IT systems and software.
