
Senior Policy Analyst

This is a key position in the Funding and Commissioning team responsible for overseeing commissioning and funding activities related to national and state strategic priorities and reform initiatives in mental health, alcohol, and other drugs, and suicide prevention.
The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the efficient and effective operation of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Directorate by developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures. They will also undertake a diverse range of project-related activities relating to policy, procedures, and administrative systems support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level analysis of current administrative systems and policies to ensure consistency and currency.
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative research, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, and preparing reports on policy and procedures and administrative systems.
- Coordinate and manage project-related work, liaising closely with stakeholders to build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A competitive salary range of $98,255-$103,069 per annum.
- 12% superannuation contribution.
- A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and professional development support.
This is a fixed-term full-time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 10 August 2026. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
