
Senior Financial Policy Analyst

You will work as a senior member of the branch, as part of a team responsible for developing, reviewing and interpreting financial management policies and legislation.
Your role will involve providing specialist advice on financial management regulation and reporting issues to stakeholders within the department and across government entities.
To do so, you will stay up-to-date with developments in contemporary financial management issues and emerging trends in both the public and private sectors.
Where appropriate, you will be supported to build subject-matter expertise on specific issues to enable the branch to provide well-considered and authoritative advice.
You may also assist the wider branch with the provision of financial management, accounting, budgeting, and reporting services as needed.
Required Skills and QualificationsWe are looking for a capable and motivated individual with experience in financial management policy development, review, and interpretation.
You should have experience in analysing, interpreting and providing advice on financial management legislation and policy frameworks.
A strong desire to develop your skills, experience, and judgement is essential.
You should also have a willingness to take on a range of responsibilities and tasks.
Leadership capability to motivate people to achieve shared goals is also required.
The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders is necessary.
