**Job Overview**

Tyro seeks a Data Governance Lead to develop a central data management office, aligning with information security, risk, legal, and regulatory obligations.

This role involves developing data governance strategies, standards, and remediation programs to enhance data quality culture.

The successful candidate will provide strategic advice on data risk, inform business decisions, and define policies and frameworks for data governance and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data governance strategies, standards, and remediation programs
  • Provide strategic advice on data risk to senior leadership
  • Define data governance, engineering, and management policies and frameworks
  • Design and manage data-lineage standards, ensuring data audit controls
  • Create a data architecture blueprint for efficient and compliant data management
  • Link data-governance frameworks to Information Security, Technology, Data Product, and other core business functions
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, engineering, and management standards, frameworks, and policies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a major services organization, with large-scale data or project management experience
  • 3-5 years in a senior management role, with Board-level change or transformation leadership experience
  • Previous experience working with business and technical data stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize conflicting deadlines
  • Experience working in the banking/finance sector
