Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Professional

The ideal candidate will spearhead the implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE) systems and processes on-site in remote Accommodation Villages. This role involves guiding a team of professionals to drive operational excellence, foster a positive safety culture, and develop strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:- Spearhead Team Management: Lead and manage a team of HSQE professionals to implement and maintain HSQE systems and processes on-site in our remote Accommodation Villages.
- Support Operational Excellence: Collaborate with Operations Managers remotely and on site to ensure safe operations and effective implementation of the safety management system.
- Campaign Development: Drive HSQE campaigns and injury prevention initiatives targeting key risk areas, promoting a proactive approach to workplace health and safety.
- Client Collaboration: Partner with Operations Managers to address client needs and expectations, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
- Safety Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor safety plans, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
- Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk management processes to inform effective decision-making and ensure safe operations.
- Incident Investigations: Facilitate thorough accident/incident investigations, maintaining records and statistics, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent qualification.
- Additional qualifications in Risk Management, Auditing, Training & Assessment, and Food Safety are highly desirable.
- ICAM Lead Investigator certification is an asset.
- Unrestricted Australian Driver's license and Senior First Aid certification are required.
- Significant experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
- In-depth understanding of WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Ideal candidates will have experience with ISO standards – Quality 9001, Safety 45001, Environment 14001.
- Expertise in incident investigations and implementing corrective actions is essential.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Advanced computer, numeracy, and literacy skills.
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
