We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will lead initiatives aimed at driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance across our operations.
This is a key role that requires a high level of initiative combined with strong decision-making abilities and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices across various jurisdictions, including Western Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and disseminating HSEQ information, designing and delivering HSEQ training programs, maintaining a training matrix, and conducting Training Needs Assessments (TNAs). They will also lead investigations into HSE incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring thorough reporting and root cause analysis.
In addition, the successful candidate will conduct regular audits of HSEQ systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulations, internal policies, and other legal requirements. They will ensure timely statutory notification of reportable incidents to relevant authorities, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and must have a valid C class driver's license, National Police Clearance (less than 12 months old), and the ability to pass a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening).
Requirements- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety is essential, with higher qualifications in HSEQ or related fields being highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in similar HSEQ roles, preferably within the resources industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices across various jurisdictions, including Western Australia.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A high level of initiative combined with strong decision-making abilities and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and possess mid to high-level skills with various software and platforms relevant to HSEQ operations.
