Aerospace Carbon Fibre Composite Component Development Support Role

This position will provide critical support to the R&D team at Burnley, focusing on scaling up development of resin infusion technology for the manufacture of aerospace carbon fibre composite components. The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the project context and identify unresolved issues.
  • Define a comprehensive plan to address outstanding manufacturing process issues.
  • Present the development plan to the rest of the team and subject matter experts for validation.
  • Execute the plan in a timely manner.
  • Track progress and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and distribute relevant information.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review and collate results, providing a summary of conclusions and key recommendations.
  • Suggest next steps based on previous results.
  • Closure of actions once quality requirements are met.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A master's degree in engineering or a technical field.
  • Initial experience with CATIA and comfort in an industrial environment.
  • Hands-on skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Fluency in English and adaptability in an international setting.

A strong background in composite materials or proficiency in project tools such as 8D problem solving and PFMEA risk management is advantageous.
