This is a pivotal opportunity to lead the development of large-scale fibre network projects in Australia.
Job Overview:A leading telecommunications organisation seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee a major fibre operations programme. Reporting directly to the Head of Fibre Operations, you will be responsible for managing project schedules, reporting, risks, and stakeholder communication across delivery partners and customers, supported by a dedicated internal team.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage end-to-end fibre project schedules, budgets, and reporting.
- Drive engagement with stakeholders and vendors to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Oversee governance, risk management, and change control processes.
- Authorise completions and invoices, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.
- Conduct site visits, maintaining occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and audit requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for operational delivery issues.
- Demonstrated experience managing fibre construction programmes.
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in using project management tools, particularly the Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with OHS requirements for field operations.
- Experience with land access and permitting processes.
