Community Careers Project Coordinator

The Community Careers Project Coordinator will oversee the operational aspects of delivering a community-based training initiative, collaborating with a registered training organisation (RTO) to provide accredited training and tailored support for participants.

  • Recruit participants, deliver non-accredited work readiness training, and manage project reporting.
  • Support participants with diverse personal and social challenges, as well as direct barriers to employment.
  • Develop individualised training and personal development plans to enhance opportunities for completing training and accessing employment.
  • Facilitate provision of personal development activities to develop vocational and employability skills, empowering participants to achieve their goals.
  • Liaise with partner RTOs and local employers to maximise employment and training outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV or equivalent experience in Community Services, Employment Services, Training, or a related field.
  • Understanding of the labour market and issues faced by participants when entering or returning to the workforce, including barriers to education, training, and employment.
  • Aptitude for working with individuals experiencing complex challenges, requiring resilience and empathy.
  • Experience facilitating work skills sessions, small group activities, and workshops.
