Job Overview

The Node Administrator plays a crucial role in the operation of the NSW/ACT node through high-level administrative and organisational support to the Node Leader, Chief Investigators and researchers.

  • Managing incoming and outgoing communication on behalf of the project
  • Providing administrative support to Chief Investigators and research staff, supporting them to deliver against the research plans
  • Providing executive support for staff meetings, committees, and working parties including scheduling, diary management, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and undertaking follow up work as required
  • Undertaking record keeping for the project and meeting reporting requirements
  • Financial management of the project

This role requires a strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and contemporary issues, substantial relevant administrative experience within the tertiary sector or comparative large-scale organisation, excellent administrative, financial, organisational and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, experience in project management, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
