The ideal candidate will manage the food and beverage aspects of tour and group bookings, overseeing daily operations at Altitude Restaurant and Lounge Bar to ensure seamless service. This role will play a pivotal part in elevating the à la carte offering, bringing fresh ideas and energy to enhance the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage rostering, recruitment, and team development, fostering a motivated and high-performing team.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring timely and accurate order processing.
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and Heads of Department across the property to deliver a cohesive guest experience.
- At least 2 years management experience in food and beverage (multi-venue experience an advantage).
- A reputation for delivering exceptional customer service and engaging guests through great conversations.
- A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
- Ability and passion to build the skills and knowledge of the team through excellent training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Strong financial and inventory management.
- Knowledge of contemporary food and service trends and culinary styles.
- Broad knowledge of wine varieties and appropriate food and wine combinations.
- Experience working in a remote location an advantage but not essential.
- Personal transport necessary.
- Valid RSA and DoFoodSafely Certificate of completion required.
