Job Title: Theatre Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Theatre Technician to join our dynamic Perioperative Team at Epworth Geelong.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support patient preparation by assisting clinicians in ensuring patients are properly prepared for surgical procedures.
  • Maintain operating suite equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and available for use when needed.
  • Provide safe patient transport during the transfer of patients between departments or within the hospital.

To Be Successful In This Role:

You should have a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent. We also value flexibility, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with the technical requirements of the role, including equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Patient-centred care practices to provide compassionate and respectful care to patients.
  • Safe work practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
