About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Administration Lead to join our Molecular Pathology team at Peter Mac. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our molecular diagnostic services, ensuring the efficient running of the team, and promoting a patient and client-oriented service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the Molecular Pathology Administration Team
  • Manage and coordinate administrative tasks, including word processing, audio-typing, filing, diary management, and record keeping
  • Ensure the accurate and timely receipt and accessioning of specimens
  • Request, track, and follow up on requests for testing materials from external laboratories
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in MS Office products, Internet, and Outlook
  • Demonstrable experience in medical audio-typing and minute-taking
  • Demonstrable experience in database management
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Professional approach to patient pathology service confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
