About us

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is the primary provider of fire, rescue and emergency management programs and services throughout Queensland.

Purpose of Role:
  • Highly desirable requirements include experience and/or qualifications in program or portfolio management, as well as previous experience leading in a program management environment.
  • Experience in critically evaluating reporting information, providing robust analysis/commentary for executives to support decision-making and identify emerging risks.
Your Key Accountabilities:

As part of our ongoing success, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and refining governance frameworks and systems, including implementing best practice to facilitate strong program and project management discipline.
  • Providing high-level advice, analysis and direction in relation to project plans to ensure best practice program and project management systems and processes are achieved.
  • Leading the identification of risks and issues and developing innovative strategies and solutions that support quality business outcomes and achieve project deliverables within agreed timeframes.
