Job Title: Armament Specialist
About This RoleThis is a pivotal position within the Joint Proof and Experimental Unit, where you will provide crucial technical support and advice focusing on armaments. Your key responsibilities include executing trade-specific tasks such as turning, welding, and fitting.
Your Key Responsibilities- Inspect, service, and repair armaments to ensure operational integrity and safety.
- Conduct pre and post-fire checks, perform preventive and periodical maintenance, and utilize specialized tooling and gauges.
- Manage repair and maintenance schedules to align with firing programs.
- Issue certificates for Fitness to Fire and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
You will also contribute to the design of weapon platform modifications and the development of competency records.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo excel in this role, you will require strong written communication skills and the ability to interpret and comply with written instructions. You must be able to work competently within a Quality Management System and demonstrate compliance with relevant Work Health Safety Acts and Regulations.
