Water Resources Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about water quality, resiliency, and climate adaptation pursuits.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in water resources engineering and the ability to lead complex projects. They will be responsible for assisting project managers and team leads to execute work involving conventional and innovative environmental and ecological engineering designs and other related infrastructure projects.

This role requires a self-starter who is results and quality-oriented, with attention to detail, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm to learn and grow. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in environmental or civil engineering courses and five (5) years of experience working on water resources projects.

  • Project Execution: Assist project managers and team leads to execute work involving conventional and innovative environmental and ecological engineering designs and other related infrastructure projects.
  • Site Assessments: Perform field assessments to evaluate and document existing site-specific conditions or collect design criteria or evaluation data.
  • Research Teams: Participate on interdisciplinary research teams to conduct environmental studies, permitting, and alternative analyses.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated excellence in environmental or civil engineering courses.
  • Five (5) years of experience working on water resources projects.
  • Strong technical background in water resources engineering.
  • Ability to lead complex projects.
  • Results and quality-oriented approach.
Desirable Qualifications:

We are also looking for candidates with experience in:

  • Green Infrastructure.
  • Water Quality.
  • Coastal Resilience projects.
  • GIS editing.
  • Data management using ESRI ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online software.
  • Related project management and/or supervisory experience.
