About This Role

The Governance, Risk, and Assurance (GRA) team at the Department of Customer Service is seeking a senior advisor to support the climate change program of work. As a senior advisor, you will develop and define our approach, work with teams and entities across the Department to operationalise our approach, and assist with interpreting incoming policy/legislative changes in the climate change space.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Establish Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the Department and Whole of Government.
  2. Deliver Climate Change Services: Drive climate change capability uplift across the Department and provide climate change advice, guidance, and support to business stakeholders.
  3. Evaluate Risks: Actively identify, assess, and manage climate-related risks across the Department.
  4. Enhance Maturity: Develop and maintain a coordinated approach to climate-related opportunity identification and management across the portfolio and assess climate change maturity across the portfolio.
  5. Support Key Initiatives: Coordinate and support Department-wide key activities, including providing climate change input into existing policy or framework reviews.
