About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced educator to lead our Special Education Program. As the Head of Disability Support Services, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to students with disability and their families.

Key responsibilities include managing and coordinating the delivery of high-quality advice and support, leading and managing the Special Education Program, and providing guidance on developing and implementing reasonable adjustments for students with disability.

You will also be responsible for coordinating targeted teaching programs for students who require intervention and providing case management support for students with complex needs.

In this role, you will work closely with the school leadership team, classroom teachers, and other school staff to ensure that all students have access to an inclusive learning environment.

  • Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
  • Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
  • Provide, support and/or coordinate case management for students who require extensive or substantial adjustments.
