Job Title: Infrastructure Asset Manager

The City is seeking a strategic and experienced Asset Manager to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of asset plans and programs for roads, bridges, and stormwater systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage capital projects and continuous improvement efforts based on data analysis and industry best practices.\
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to teams and stakeholders on strategic asset initiatives and asset management frameworks.\
  • Collaborate with colleagues to propose and drive innovative solutions that align with the city's vision and goals.\
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, businesses, and government agencies.\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging trends in asset management and infrastructure planning.\
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.\
  • Develop and maintain high-quality reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate complex information to stakeholders.\
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to asset management and infrastructure planning.\
  • Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.\
  • Perform other duties as required.\
  • Undertake any additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Manager - Asset Management.\
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to achieve common goals and objectives.\
  • Support the delivery of the city's strategic plan and contribute to its success.\
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.\
  • Protect the city's assets and minimize risks through proactive measures.\
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external customers.\

  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to deliver integrated solutions and services.\

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in asset management and infrastructure planning.\
  • Engage with stakeholders and communities to understand their needs and expectations.\

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.\
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of asset management practices and infrastructure planning.\

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service levels.\
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department to develop and manage budgets and financial plans.\
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the city's infrastructure assets and systems.\
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on asset management and infrastructure planning.\
  • Support the development of business cases and funding proposals for infrastructure projects.\
  • Advise on procurement processes and tendering procedures for infrastructure projects.\
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement asset management plans and programs.\
  • Provide training and capacity-building programs for staff and stakeholders on asset management and infrastructure planning.\
  • Engage with local communities and interest groups to promote asset management and infrastructure planning initiatives.\
