About the Job:
The Australian Parliament House requires Protective Service Officers to maintain a secure environment for visitors and staff. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone within the parliamentary complex.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional customer service to all visitors and building occupants
- Conducting regular patrols throughout the building to monitor security and prevent potential threats
- Operating X-ray screening equipment at entry points to ensure the safe passage of people and goods
- Responding promptly to security incidents and administering first aid when necessary
- Supporting emergency procedures during lockdowns or evacuations, collaborating closely with other departments to maintain overall operations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, strong observational abilities, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Prior experience in the security industry is not necessary; however, your ability to work as part of a team and deliver exceptional customer service is essential.
