Medical Director Role

Are you a highly skilled and experienced medical professional looking for a challenging leadership role in a remote community medical facility in Papua New Guinea? We are seeking a Senior Medical Officer to lead our clinical operations and provide expert medical guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the Medical Services team with external stakeholders and community members.
- Provide strategic leadership to the Medical Centre, Mine Site Clinic, and Camp Site Clinic.
- Undertake clinical responsibilities by providing consultation, secondary review, and recommendations for referrals and evacuations as required.
- Coordinate medical emergencies, referrals, and evacuations according to standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
- A medical degree and current, unrestricted license to practise.
- Minimum ten years of experience in trauma/emergency, occupational health, family medicine, and leadership or management roles.
- Leadership experience in a medical setting, including remote or resource-limited environments.
