Sydney, New South Wales, Australia beBeeEngineering Full time $180,000 - $240,000

As a leader in the energy sector, we are seeking an experienced engineering professional to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Australia's transmission projects. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the industry by driving innovation and transformation.

The Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead a specialist team responsible for ensuring that designs are constructable, integrated, and future-ready from concept stage through to final commissioning. By embedding constructability and integration principles into design, you'll play a key role in reducing delivery risk, enhancing project outcomes, and enabling safe, efficient, and sustainable energy infrastructure for generations to come.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading constructability and integration reviews on multi-billion-dollar capital projects
  • Partnering with delivery, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure designs are field-ready
  • Advising senior leadership on constructability risks, technical standards, and new innovations
  • Representing the organization at industry forums and community workshops
  • Mentoring and developing a team of engineering specialists, driving a high-performance and collaborative culture
  • Influencing strategic investment decisions by providing technical and commercial insights

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll contribute to the development of business-critical initiatives and help shape the company's vision for the future of energy infrastructure.

About Us

We operate over 13,000 km of high-voltage transmission lines and 128 substations across NSW and the ACT, connecting electricity generators to the distribution network—powering homes, businesses, and communities.

Our goal is to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable energy to millions of Australians, and we're committed to growing our workforce to drive innovation and transformation in the energy sector.

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience as a senior manager or equivalent in the energy or construction industry
  • Expertise in constructability and integration principles
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

With your expertise and passion for the industry, you'll be well-equipped to take on this challenging and rewarding role.
