Abergeldie is a contractor with 30 years' industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.
About the OpportunityWe're looking for a Site Engineer to join our team in Sydney. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with Project Engineers, Supervisors and site crews to support the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of infrastructure projects.
As a Site Engineer, you'll play a key part in planning, coordinating, and monitoring day-to-day site activities - making sure that program, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your career with a contractor delivering diverse and technically challenging projects across Sydney.
This is a full-time permanent position, with a salary range of $90,000 – $110,000 base + super (dependent on experience).
What You'll Bring to the Team- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous experience in civil infrastructure (roads, rail, drainage, utilities, or structures)
- Strong organisational skills to coordinate subcontractors, materials, and site resources
- A proactive, safety-first mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with project teams, consultants and clients
- Working knowledge of construction programs, QA processes and reporting tools
