**Credit Management Professional Opportunity**
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our finance team as a credit manager. This permanent full-time role will involve managing all financial obligations and coordinating debts of existing creditors.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, or mathematics, with 5+ years of experience in credit management. They will also possess leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts receivable function and credit control process
- Lead, manage, and mentor team members
- Create procedures and policies for timely payments and high customer retention
- Prepare and implement accounts receivable and credit control policies and procedure manuals
- Reconcile complex accounts escalated from the accounts receivable team
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage daily cash flow and meet monthly key performance indicators
- Evaluate new credit requests and conduct credit checks
- Set up terms of credit for new customers
- Negotiate payment plans and contracts
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, business studies, finance, or mathematics
- 5+ years in credit management
- Leadership experience and demonstrated communication and teambuilding skills
