About the Role

We're seeking an experienced BIM leader to join our hydraulic team in Melbourne. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of professionals and contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.

As a BIM leader, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leading the hydraulics BIM modelling group. You will work closely with our delivery teams to support their design and construction activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the BIM team and be responsible for BIM standards and development, implementation, and management
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary activities and inputs by the modelling team
  • Support our delivery teams during design and construction
  • Provide support and mentoring to junior staff members
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Provide assurance of having personally checked the work carried out
  • Contribute to our company culture
  • Bring value to in-house design meetings
  • Incorporate new BIM-related software and technologies
  • Correspond with our modelling team in Pune

Requirements:

  • Experience working within an engineering consultancy
  • Broad knowledge and experience in the hydraulics industry
  • Advanced knowledge of building services sector
  • Experience working with BIM, Revit, CAD, Navisworks
  • Understanding of BIM workflows and project setup
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and an excellent communicator
  • Interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external clients
  • Leadership skills to mentor and motivate employees and to be a role model within the business
  • Able to do troubleshooting issues with BIM models
  • Organisational skills to prioritise work with the team to meet business and project delivery needs
  • Highly developed problem-solving and negotiation skills to resolve disputes that arise
