BIM Manager Role Overview

We are seeking a BIM Manager to drive the implementation of Building Information Modeling processes in our Melbourne studio. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless collaboration and optimal project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the creation of design packages, managing team members' work efforts in alignment with project schedules.
  • Oversee the implementation of BIM methodologies to enhance project efficiency.
  • Audit and maintain BIM to ensure ongoing efficiencies and adherence to best practices.
  • Champion data-rich BIM documentation, technical drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific BIM goals and deliverables, adhering to internal systems and external codes and standards.
  • Manage project start-up planning to optimize BIM utilization on projects.
  • Collaborate with other BIM managers/coordinators on the project team to streamline workflows and resolve challenges.
  • Maintain open communication with project leaders and teams to drive project deliverables and address execution issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in BIM software, systems, and processes to promote continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience as a BIM Manager/Coordinator or in a related leadership role, demonstrating successful project execution.
  • Proficiency in Revit BIM software and tools, with expertise in data-rich BIM documentation.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills, adhering to schedules and delivering high-quality results.
  • In-depth knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with diverse project teams.
  • A continuous learner mindset, embracing advancements in BIM technology and practices.
  • Prior experience working on large-scale projects.
