About the Role

Alfred Health is seeking a highly skilled Specialist in Infectious Diseases to join our team. As a key member of our Infection Prevention and Healthcare Epidemiology Unit, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of infection prevention interventions and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement guidelines for infection prevention and control
  • Provide medical input and oversight for outbreak and exposure responses
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across Alfred Health
  • Participate in internal and external reporting, including the Infection Prevention Committee
  • Contribute to education and research activities
  • Develop and implement quality improvement projects
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a legally qualified practitioner, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. You will also require demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Infectious Diseases, as well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Infectious Diseases.
