We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist in Infectious Diseases to join our team. As a key member of our Infection Prevention and Healthcare Epidemiology Unit, you will play a crucial role in implementing infection prevention strategies and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement infection prevention guidelines and protocols
  • Provide medical input and oversight for outbreak responses and exposure management
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization
  • Participate in internal and external reporting, including the Infection Prevention Committee
  • Contribute to education and research activities
  • Develop quality improvement projects to enhance patient care

Requirements:

  • Legally qualified practitioner, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians
  • Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Infectious Diseases
  • Meet Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Infectious Diseases
