Job Overview

This is a compelling opportunity for an engineer to advance their skills in geotechnical and structural engineering, working on small to medium scale projects that deliver tangible impact for clients. Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective geotechnical design solutions across various scenarios and sectors.
  • Prepare detailed design documents and reports, implementing advice into specifications and drawing notes.
  • Scope, price, supervise and deliver appropriate geotechnical site investigation works in support of larger design packages.
  • Supervise or train junior personnel in site investigation works to relevant industry standards.
  • Collaborate confidently and effectively with external partners, clients and subcontractors as well as internal stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Assist the Geotechnical Lead in client relationship development, team training and mentoring, and fostering strong interdepartmental relationships.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Masters in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Ideally 5 - 15 years of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering within an Australian Engineering consultancy, for either an independent specialist or multi-disciplinary team.
  • Applicants with experience in specialist D&C contractors on the design side would also be considered.
