Geotechnical Engineer Position

A challenging opportunity exists for a recent civil engineering or geotechnical engineering graduate to join our team as a Geotechnical Engineering Intern. The role will involve assisting senior engineers with surveying and footings, conducting soil investigations and providing technical advice to operations teams.

  • As a Geotechnical Engineering Intern, you will be involved in various aspects of geotechnical engineering including surveying work, foundation piling, slope stabilisation and ground improvement.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, be able to communicate effectively and have a passion for fieldwork and surveying. If you are eager to start your career in geotechnical engineering and gain vital industry experience, this internship could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical advice to operations teams on greenfield analysis and drilling programs.
  2. Undertake soil investigations and surveying work in the field.
  3. Support senior geotechnical engineering team members with surveying and footings.
  4. Conduct geotechnical reviews and provide advice to stakeholders.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will gain valuable experience and skills in geotechnical software such as Total Station and engineering tools. You will also have the opportunity to work in a high-performance workplace with mentoring by senior professionals and geotechnical engineers.

What You Will Learn:
  • Geotechnical software such as deswik CAD, LeapFrog, and MINEX.
  • Field work, surveying, footings and testing required for geotechnical engineering projects.
  • Experience in a high-performance workplace.
Requirements:
  • Civil engineering or geotechnical engineering degree.
  • Recent graduate or final year student.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
