Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, supporting colleagues, and contributing to achieving sales targets and overall business objectives.

Your main duties will include:

  • Providing expert advice on products to customers, recommending suitable options and handling queries efficiently.
  • Supporting the sales team with inventory management, cash handling, and processing payments and returns.
  • Sales support, up-selling or cross-selling products to customers to meet targets and exceed customer expectations.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized store environment, restocking shelves, and merchandising displays to create an inviting atmosphere.
  • Assisting in training new employees, providing guidance and support as needed, and helping other departments or team members when required.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, assisting them in finding products, answering questions about merchandise, and resolving any complaints or issues promptly.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and higher management.
  • A strong understanding of retail operations and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible attitude and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using software relevant to retail operations.
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service and exceeding customer expectations.
