Library Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support our library services. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our libraries.

  • You will perform a range of tasks including membership registration, issue and return processes, shelving, and collection maintenance.
  • You will assist customers with enquiries and provide guidance on library services and equipment.
  • You will work collaboratively with other team members to achieve our goals.
  • You will contribute to the promotion of library programs and activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide customer-focused support to library patrons.
  • Perform circulation duties including membership registration and issue/return processes.
  • Assist customers with library-related enquiries and requests.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members.

Requirements
  • A current Working with Children Blue Card or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
  • A current Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • An understanding of daily requirements of a public library or related service organisation.
Desirable Qualifications
  • A Certificate III in Library and Information Studies, or equivalent.
