**Position Information**:
Jerrabomberra High School is a new school which opened in 2023. In 2026 our anticipated enrolment will be 420 students. We have 3% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student enrolments and 9% of students from a non-English speaking background. We are a comprehensive, coeducational high school proudly located in the township of Jerrabomberra on the border of NSW and the ACT, only 15km from Canberra International Airport and a short drive to the Snowy Mountains or to the South Coast.

Jerrabomberra High School commenced with Year 7 and Year 8 in 2023, with the school being Year 7 to Year 12 by 2027. Our curriculum is innovative, framed through an inquiry and project-based learning approach. We continue to be innovative and have designed our curriculum to allow students to learn and engage in modern, well-resourced and future focused learning spaces. Our culture is truly inclusive, centered on ensuring every student is able to co-design their learning journey which aligns to their skills, interests and aspirations.

Our school provides a learning environment based on high expectations, and the belief that all students will grow in their time at Jerrabomberra High School. We also offer the Big Picture Learning design as an option for students in year 9 and above. We are conscious of our role within the local and broader community, working closely with parents/carers and other community agencies to support student’s academic, emotional and social development.

Students will develop real life, entrepreneurial skills to equip them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to best navigate their individual journey in a fast-changing world. As a school we will build the capacity of all staff to promote and develop their pedagogical practice to ensure high expectations, positive behaviours and individualised success is achieved for all students.

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach Secondary Library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.

Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, forward-thinking learning experiences to both full classes and small groups, supporting students across multiple key learning areas while fulfilling the dynamic role of Teacher Librarian within an innovative school setting.

Capacity to lead and evolve a flexible, student-centred library space that serves as a vibrant learning hub supporting literacy, numeracy, inquiry based learning, high potential and gifted education (HPGE), and the academic needs of Stage 6 learners in a future-focused environment.

Proven excellence in communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong capacity to build genuine partnerships and collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, families, and the broader Jerrabomberra community to enhance learning outcomes.

If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Library qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.
