Haul Truck Maintenance Specialist

The Cummins Mining Site Manager is a key role that oversees the technical support and maintenance of Cummins-powered equipment at mining sites. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide application support and maintenance advice for Cummins-powered equipment.
- Monitor and report product issues, escalating them to internal stakeholders as needed.
- Participate in technical diagnostic support for customer repairs, both reactive and proactive.
- Liaise with on-site planning teams to provide short- and long-term planning vision for the Cummins Field Operations team.
- Oversee imbedded site technicians, guiding and supporting their day-to-day activities.
- Provide technical, commercial, and safety supervision for Cummins personnel and customer job scope and progression.
- Drive product improvement initiatives and projects to support customer Cummins engine populations.
- Liaise with customer and local OEM teams to provide guidance, escalation, and resolution to customer requests.
- Ensure minimum downtime on all Cummins-powered units onsite.
Requirements
- At least two years post-trade qualification experience.
- Experience working on Cummins HHP engines.
- Personal commitment to HSE and leading an interdependent safety culture.
- Diesel trade qualification.
- HHP experience.
- Strong influencer and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Leadership experience.
- A mature attitude, organized, and methodical approach to work.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Cummins-powered equipment at mining sites, and the successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams.
Location
This role is located in the Gunnedah Region, supporting global mining customers within the Gunnedah Basin.
