Sustainability Expert for Environmental Management

Stantec is seeking a motivated Sustainability Expert to join our environmental management team in Western Australia. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering strategic and practical solutions to clients facing environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, prepare site management plans, remediation action plans, and other reports for external and internal clients.

  • Conduct investigations, including soil, vapour, surface water, groundwater assessments, and drilling programs.

  • Initiate, plan, lead, and execute contaminated land and groundwater projects from start to finish.

  • Liaise with technical and subject matter experts.

  • Analyse data and prepare clear and concise technical reports.

  • Support the development and coordination of proposals, budgets, and tender documents.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering, Hydrogeology, or Geology.

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Experience in contaminated land with exposure to various environmental situations.

  • Site supervision, managing site investigations, and sampling methods, including soil and groundwater.

  • Sound knowledge of NEPM and contaminated land provisions in WA.

  • A working knowledge of logging and data management is desirable.

  • Well-developed data assessment and report writing skills.

  • Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to sites for fieldwork.
