Project Manager for IT Delivery plays a key role in coordinating and overseeing the execution of technology projects across various Council departments.

As the primary point of contact, this individual will work closely with stakeholders to understand their IT requirements and ensure that service levels are consistently met.

The ideal candidate should have strong project coordination skills, a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and excellent stakeholder management capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a deep understanding of business goals and translating them into technology requirements.
  • Managing expectations with business units regarding project deliveries and service levels.
  • Applying Agile project management methodologies to ensure effective delivery of projects.
  • Coordinating activities and maintaining communication with stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
  • Supporting Project Managers with financial tracking, purchase orders, and invoice processing.
  • Capturing lessons learned and promoting continuous improvement within the team.
  • Engaging in demand management and prioritizing tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in coordinating IT projects within a medium-sized environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT operations and support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong facilitation skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile environments, including tools like Jira and MS Project, is desirable.
