Emergency Response Training Position

We are seeking an experienced individual to design and develop emergency response training programs that meet contractual requirements and national legislation.

The role involves:

  • Designing and developing emergency response training programs for our Fire and Rescue operations in Brisbane
  • Developing departmental-specific curriculum guidelines consistent with national legislation and best practices
  • Supporting the development of assessment tools to ensure ongoing skills and competency maintenance
  • Contributing to the development of training curriculum, learning guides, and assessment procedures at a state and national level
  • Overseeing the Fire Development Program and facilitating succession planning for fire management needs

The ideal candidate will have a background in firefighting and first aid, with evidence of skills and competencies to support this expertise. Familiarity with emergency services and operational excellence practices is essential.

Prior experience in training and people management, preferably in high-risk and diverse emergency response organizations, is required. Hold qualifications such as the Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management) and Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).

A Defence Baseline security clearance and Australian citizenship are mandatory requirements.
