Workshop Supervisor

A Workshop Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of skilled tradespeople in a dynamic workshop environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience in managing workshops and ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality expectations.

  • Leadership:

 Lead a team of skilled tradespeople to achieve high performance and productivity.

Safety and Compliance:

 Oversee the implementation of SWMS, pre-starts, and toolbox talks to maintain a strong safety culture.

Maintenance and Repair:

 Manage fault diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance of diesel-powered mining equipment.

Planning and Budgeting:

 Coordinate planned maintenance programs, refurbishments, and component replacement.

Communication:

 Communicate effectively with internal and external clients, including Branch Managers and other stakeholders.

The successful applicant will have a trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical, or Fabrication trade, and demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment. Strong knowledge of underground or surface mining equipment is highly regarded.

  • Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical, or Fabrication trade
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment
  • Strong knowledge of underground or surface mining equipment (highly regarded)
  • Valid driver's licence (essential), with forklift licence and other tickets advantageous
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening
