Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to conduct periodic reviews of information systems and ensure compliance with security authorization packages.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular security assessments and notify the ISSM of changes that may affect the authorization determination.
  • Coordinate changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware with the ISSM and AO/DAO prior to implementation.
  • Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are restored and functioning correctly.
  • Ensure all information security documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
  • Attend required technical and security training relevant to duties.
  • Execute the cybersecurity portion of self-inspections and review all system assessment plans.
  • Identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and assist with implementing countermeasures.
  • Prepare reports on the status of security safeguards applied to computer systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and database management systems.
