Job Overview

We are seeking a security professional to join our team as a Parliamentary Security Officer.

This role involves conducting daily patrols, monitoring security systems, and providing exceptional customer service to Members, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrols and Security Monitoring:
  • Conduct regular patrols of the Parliamentary precinct to ensure the safety and security of all personnel and facilities.
  • Monitor security systems and respond to incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Service:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Members, staff, and visitors at access and reception points.
  • Emergency Response:
  • Assist with emergency evacuations and provide first aid response as needed.
  • Liaison and Communication:
  • Liaise with State and Civil Authorities when required.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and possess a current open driver's licence.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a security environment is required, including experience with control rooms, scanning, and metal detection.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • A current open driver's licence is essential.
