Role Summary

This is a permanent position where you will work closely with our legal team to support experienced public liability lawyers on a diverse range of matters, contributing to meaningful outcomes for clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting solicitors in day-to-day operations of files and client management across public liability matters.

In this role, you will prepare matters for conferences and hearings, including court documents and general correspondence. You will also draft briefs and documents, such as claim forms and schedules of damages, with high attention to detail.

Your duties will include coordinating medico-legal appointments, compulsory conferences and mediations. Additionally, you will develop strong relationships with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.

You will assist the Legal team in optimising the use of internal systems to manage information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support solicitors in day-to-day operations of files and client management.
  • Prepare matters for conferences and hearings.
  • Draft briefs and documents, such as claim forms and schedules of damages.
  • Coordinate medico-legal appointments, compulsory conferences and mediations.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in personal injury matters is highly regarded.
  • Able to type accurately with intermediate Word & Excel skills.
  • Maintain attention to detail in document management and file preparation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of providing excellent client support.
  • Able to work Monday–Friday, 38 hours per week; 4 days per week considered on discussion.
