About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Draftsperson to join our Engineering team at RCR Mining Technologies in Bunbury. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions for our clients in the mining and resource industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical plant and equipment using Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, and Navisworks
  • Review and approve technical drawings and models for mechanical plant and equipment design
  • Lead a team of Draftspersons and provide guidance and support to ensure procedural and technical compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and skills to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
  • Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in a Senior or Lead Mechanical Draftsperson role
  • Relevant experience in the Mining and Resource industry
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills
  • Strong understanding of Australian standards relating to Mechanical Design, including Safety in Design
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, and Navisworks
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
