Mechanical Plant Operator

At our coal mines in New South Wales, we have a unique opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Plant Operator to join our team.

This role is ideal for individuals with a mechanical trade qualification and a strong commitment to safety. You will be responsible for supervising the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of mechanical plant and equipment on site.

To succeed in this position, you will need to possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a positive attitude towards continuous improvement initiatives.

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in underground coal mining (mandatory)
  • Mechanical trade qualification and Certificate of Proficiency (mandatory)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Fluid Power (highly desirable)
  • RII09 - Explosion Protected Diesel Engine Systems Maintenance (highly desirable)
  • Hot Works training (highly desirable)
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets (highly desirable)
  • Dogging High Risk Work Licence (highly desirable)
  • A strong commitment to safety with high-level communication and influencing skills
