Emergency Response Specialist

Purpose of the RoleThis role offers an opportunity to contribute to our unique functions as we deliver high-quality services through a single agency. Our emergency responders work together to provide expert support during critical incidents.
Key Requirements- Mandatory requirements include:
- A valid manual C Class driver's license
- Australian Permanent Resident Status
- A reasonable proximity to auxiliary fire station
- The employer's written consent to attend emergencies (where applicable)
To succeed in this role, you will be required to commit to regular attendance at incident and emergency calls, training sessions, and skill development programs. You will also need to maintain high standards of personal presentation, conduct, and adherence to organizational policies.
Your Key Accountabilities- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency incidents as part of a team
- Support community education initiatives and promote safety awareness
- Develop and maintain relevant competencies through participation in drills and training courses
- Meet required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
- Operate firefighting equipment safely and efficiently
- Contribute to maintaining operational equipment and station facilities
- Participate in incident reporting and general station administration
- Cultivate a positive team culture and adhere to legislative requirements
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, other emergency responders, and the public
- Contribute to creating a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational health protocols
