Job Title:

A key role within a local government agency, responsible for operating plant equipment on road construction, maintenance projects and miscellaneous works.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform road maintenance, road construction, structures, concrete and miscellaneous operations;
  • Ensure plant operation adheres to manufacturer's specifications and maintain work efficiency;
  • Undertake daily maintenance according to check sheets;
  • Maintain all plant and equipment under the operator's control, recording defects and notifying the workshop promptly;
  • Install and maintain correct and adequate roadworks signage;
  • Accurately complete timesheets, plant sheets and plant check sheets daily;
  • Record accurate work records, including gravel quantities, chainages worked and work category;
  • Contribute to maintaining camps in a safe, clean and proper manner;
  • Participate as a member of the multi-skilled workforce undertaking other duties as required by operational activities.
