Spray Painter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

  1. Colour mixing and matching vehicle paintwork is essential for achieving a flawless finish.
  2. Building and maintaining colour libraries requires attention to detail and a thorough understanding of paintwork specifications.
  3. Preparing, priming, and painting vehicles according to job sheet requirements demands strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  4. Buffing and denibbing vehicle surfaces require manual dexterity and patience.
  5. Handling all vehicles with due care and attention is paramount for ensuring customer satisfaction.
  6. Notating any extra paint work required not quoted for ensures transparency and accountability.
  7. Reporting any old damage or poor previous repairs to the production manager facilitates effective problem-solving and quality control.
  8. Cleaning work bays and workshop areas maintains a safe and healthy working environment.
  9. Coaching apprentices when required promotes knowledge sharing and skill development.

The ideal candidate will be a trade qualified Spray Painter with at least 3 years of experience working as a trade qualified Spray Painter, possessing a strong commitment to working safely, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the team.

Junior-Mid experienced tradespeople can earn between $60-$80k, while Mid-Senior tradespeople can earn up to $100k. Annual salary and the opportunity to earn a production bonus are also available.
