Job Title: Food Innovation Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food Innovation Lead to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Research and Development department, you will be responsible for leading the development and improvement of food products, ensuring they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, creativity, and attention to detail. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, and Manufacturing, to drive product innovation and growth.

  • Lead R&D projects from ideation to commercialization, managing project timelines and resources.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including SLT, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
  • Manage all aspects of technical documentation, including writing briefs, ensuring compliance with FSANZ standards, and artwork management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Autonomously lead R&D projects from concept to commercialisation, accurately, on time and in full and within budget.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to manage up and provide feedback on projects and key business decisions.
  • Value engineer and reformulate existing product lines to continually improve product/service delivery quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food product development, preferably in snack products and beverages.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FDA regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
