About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering/Technical Leader to join our Water sector team in Melbourne, VIC. The successful candidate will have a strong background in water projects, including design, engineering, and construction, and will be responsible for leading technical aspects of projects to ensure delivery of value and technical certainty.

Key Responsibilities

The Engineering/Technical Leader will be responsible for:

  • Leading technical aspects of projects, including design, engineering delivery, digital engineering, and quality
  • Ensuring delivery of value and technical certainty that exceeds client expectations
  • Collaborating with clients, business units, and delivery partners to share knowledge and expertise
  • Developing and implementing technical strategies to meet project objectives

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong technical background in engineering, with a degree in a relevant field (chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil, or related)
  • Professional chartership from a recognized institution
  • At least 20 years of experience in water projects, with a strong understanding of design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to coach and develop engineers
  • A diverse skillset that enables contributions to different phases of the project and the company as a whole
